About Us

The Day Without an Immigrant web site is maintained by El Paro, a Philadelphia organization that supports the rights of all immigrants to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We are a group of unaffiliated volunteers that have decided to not accept the disrespectful proposals currently before Congress. Our mission is stated in the Proclamation for Responsible Immigration and specific Contacts can be found at the top buttons of this site. The Day Without an Immigrant Coalition organized in preparation for the Apri 10th rally and is a group of individuals from many institutions across the Philadelphia region; all are committed to comprehensive immigration reform being legislated and carried out justly across the United States. We have regular meetings to coordinate strategy and materials but each organization decides to what degree to support and portray the work. Many  of the endorsing institutions (see the tab on the left menu) participate in the Coalition.
